We just finished the Bonita Springs National Art Festival. It was picture perfect weather and Saturday morning had a wonderful crowd and very good sales. Next weekend we will be back in Florida. I will be exhibiting my paintings at the Bonita Springs National Art Festival held at the Promenade. Well we recovered from the destruction of our display and some of our art in Omaha and have moved on. We are again so grateful for all of those that stepped right in and took over helping us with our pile of rubble. I can't thank all of the artists and volunteers who were a part of this. Today is Saturday and a new beginning. It is about 9pm in Houston and I feel I need to write in my journal because it has been about 4 days. After returning to Houston on Tuesday night it has been hectic in the studio. I have been busy shipping my orders out while Guiteau unpacks the truck with Michel, our part-time studio assistant. Michel usually sends me the mail when I am out of town but seems as if it has piled up...bills too.

I was too exhausted to post anything yesterday. It took us from 8am to 6 pm to dolly all of our artwork a great distance and set up our 2 booths. Just got home from the Delray Beach art fair at 10 pm. Show was over at 5 but dismantling our display takes about 4 hours. After that we made a delivery of a large painting (Praise the Lord!) and have another delivery scheduled Monday afternoon. My postings are getting fewer and farther between because not a lot is happening. Last weekend at Bocafest was our best show since arriving in Florida. God is an "ontime" provider. Today I was able to work on some large landscape paintings....I never finish one at a time. I work in sections and layers and go back. I also created a few mini paintings, one of which i have posted on eBay today. After this group is sold, gone or given away, I am going to have to increase the size of my art for eBay. It is difficult to paint 2.5x3.5 especially with my expressionistic style.

Today is working day in the studio. After being on the road, it is hard to get up and go to work again even though I am ready to create. Just tried some new liquid acrylics and just experimented with them on some unpainted collages. They flow and have the same feeling as watercolors.
